As I wrote something to the effect, "I don't think Utah should be given over to Humwawa worshippers" as an alternative to mormons- I was isolating the roots of the mormon religion as basically false, explaining why the gifted Joseph Smith decided to scam-up, with a claim that he had a divine endowment to "restore the True Church of Jesus Christ", such as fundamentally weak Fortune for America (due to a curse that the forebearers attracted), difficulty of the American women, experienced and probable ongoing lack of appreciation for a special gift, coarse social atmosphere, etc.... with a few comments also about Utah generally...
There have been some archeological discoveries, such as in the regions of Turkey and China, of temple-like complexes, which are rather mystifying to researchers. What I believe these were for was for ceremonial polyandry- a woman having many husbands; not to live in, but for ceremonial. They must have felt some special ceremonial trappings and observance was indicated. I believe this was indeed an extremely long time ago- as long ago as the Adam-Eve couples, just about!
As the "ancient astronaut theorists" are it seems always looking for more salvage to fill their explanations cover-all blunderbusses with, these discoveries have indeed stimulated conjecture among them...
